Crops You can Grow in a Warm GreenhouseThe environment in your hobby greenhouse is something that you control. When you control the environment you control how warm or cold the air is in the greenhouse. This discussion is about warmer weather crops that you can grow in the greenhouse. A warmer weather climate would be fifty degrees or above. Of course you can still grow the cooler climate vegetables and flowers in your greenhouse when the temperature is higher, but there is additional plants and vegetables that you can add to your crop listing. Some of the plants you will be able to grow in the greenhouse with a warmer climate include a long listing of flowers and bulbs. When the temperature is warmer ( the above fifty degrees) you will find that your flowers will thrive. You also have the option of keeping the greenhouse even warmer to grow exotic and rare flowers and plants if you like as well. When the greenhouse is even warmer you will find that your vegetables will not produce as well, or at all so you may have to make a choice in what you want to grow at that time. Warmer weather crops include tomatoes. You can start and grow tomatoes when you keep the environment in the greenhouse stable and over fifty degrees. Other types of plants that grow easily in the warm greenhouse are the peppers (all of the different varieties) and vegetables such as the eggplant. When you choose seeds or plants to grow in your hobby greenhouse during the winter months you will want to choose varieties that are shorter in growing seasons. For example, instead of buying a ninety-day tomato, you should opt for a sixty to seventy day tomatoes that can handle the shorter days and less sunshine. You can still grow your carrots, radishes, and onions in the warm greenhouse. You will even be able to grow the sunflowers, a variety of other flowers, and green plants for your enjoyment as well. The warmer greenhouse will require more planning on how you are going to heat the greenhouse, but the results are well worth it! This article was published by: Garden Moose.
